Excellent wine...I'm a more difficult grader than some. I decanted for about 45 minutes but would've benefited from more exposure. This is a nicely structured wine that stood up very well to a New York strip steak off the grill. It definitely needs a red meat dish. — 10 years ago

Very elegant wine...this was a 1995 so opening on New Year's Day 2015 seemed appropriate. Subtle tobacco notes on the nose with a pleasant cherry sweetness on the palate and a finish that lasted 60 seconds or more. I was frankly worried that the wine was past it's prime so an upside surprise. — 10 years ago
