All eyes in the room met in a shared acknowledgement that this wine needed to be sipped and savored with deep enjoyment. Every year I’m back for more! Recommended by Tasting Notes. It’s not a good drinker. A little funky on the nose (like sarsaparilla) and rather flat. But paired with cut cold meats and cheeses, it comes alive with berry, sometimes even cocoa. We even had a little with a chocolate olive oil cake and it was a lovely pairing. — 5 years ago

This is one of my favorite wines. Bold, smooth, drinkable. Plummy on the nose, fruity on the palette, with a hint of chocolate on the finish. The perfect wine for when you need one more glass after dinner. — 5 years ago
