2002 vintage. Very dark with graphite, cedar and plum nose. Oaky dark cherry fruit. A bit of char. Big extracted wine. Pretty nice but truly Cali. — 10 years ago

Darkish ruby. Plum and graphite nose. A bit plain. Simple on the slate. Not of the concentration of the prior wines. Simple and a bit green. No fruit. — 10 years ago
Dark with a hint of brick at the rim. Plummy, a hint of coconut scent. Plush. With big fruit and alcohol. Super nose. Finishes a bit hot. — 10 years ago
2006 vintage. Feral, funky and a bit volatile on opening. Seems a bit reduced. With air the reduction blows off revealing an interesting cinnamon scent with tea and forest floor scents and Flavors. Good acid and a bit of grippy tannins. The fruit is in hiding. On the second day this turns smoky and soft with a bit of blue fruit. On this third night the fruit is fading and the wine is smoky with a slightly sour and green finish. Drink up. Interesting and evolving but not a lot of pleasure here. — 10 years ago
Dark color, closed nose. Just a hint of caramel and charred old barrel revealing plums with air. Big and dark with good black cherry fruit, a bit of ETOH, graphite and a hit of acid on the finish. Needs time. — 10 years ago
Sexy plummy nose with a hint of graphite and oak spice. Silky resolved tannins with good acid backbone. Good black cherry fruit and persistence. Very nice. — 10 years ago
