Very unlike any other Islay whisky, except perhaps Bunnahaben. Light and easy in the mouth with a surprising rise of a gentle malted tang as it rests on the tongue. The finish dies away more rapidly that the more typical Isaly malts. Perhaps a good introductory experience for the newer whisky drinker. — 9 years ago

Surprisingly refreshing for a red sparkler. Notes of cherry, raspberry. Would be nice for summer late afternoons with pork on the barbie, but we're enjoying it with son-in-law's brined and smoked turkey breast at Christmas dinner. Really lovely. — 9 years ago
