Yummy. Not heavy or jammy. Really quite like pinot, which was unexpected. Would drink again, but of the Birichino reds I prefer the 2011 St george pinot or the Cinsault.

Tried this at a Rothschild wine tasting event in London showcasing their stable of wines from around the world. Think this is a very well balanced and elegant wine. Nice to drink on its own but would be great with roast meats. — 10 years ago

Agreed. Really bright, with great structure - long finish and good acidity.

My favourite of the Birichino's. Powerful heady nose. Gorgeous off-dry flavours. Very like the best Torrontes, but more lively and no cloying at all. My first Malvasia. it's Californian all the way, for me now!

Tried this at a Robert Parker event about 100 point wines. For the price this is an amazing dessert wine with really long finish and loads of sultana flavour. Love it! — 10 years ago

Tried the 2011 and 2013 vintages. 2011 is my favourite if the two...quite a bit of complexity leathery, cedar flavours overlaying the fruit, whereas the 2013 was still beautiful and very drinkable but mainly fruits...strawberry, cherries — 10 years ago
