Pours a dark red. Aroma is very leathery with undertones of cedar and blackberry. Taste comes on dry and threatens to be very tannic, but quickly mellows out to reveal blackberries before finishing with flavours of leather, tobacco, and pepper. There's something simplistic, and yet subtlety intriguing about the overall drinking experience. — 8 years ago
Notes of cherries, tobacco, and oak in the aroma. Flavour comes on very dry and fruity with an emphasis on cherry and strawberry, but finishes off smoothly with hints of plum, coffee, and tobacco. I really enjoyed this paired with a spicy curry dish. — 8 years ago

Pours a deep violet. I studied the aroma for a while before drinking. My first impression was very floral, but I returned to find notes of raspberry, cherry, and licorice. Drinking it, I found it very simple, light, and well-balanced with a moderate body. However, the floral and fruity elements felt subdued. The finish was very dry and somewhat tannic. — 8 years ago
