I love the nose, maybe blueberry and/or violet? Flavors of strawberry, rhubarb., raspberry. Very mild tannins make this wine great with barbecued meats (we grilled a tri-tip marinated with teriyaki), and it was also a nice quaffer. — 9 years ago

Surprising value. Nicely balanced, good quaffer, with enough acidity to complement a grilled dry-aged Delmonico and grilled summer squashes. Could have used a bit more tannins and/or some oak. — 10 years ago

Excellent paired with Duck Breast with Raspberry Sauce. Nice acidity to cleanse the palate. Afterward, the red fruit flavor (red berries, sour cherries) was evident in the back of the mouth, with a clean finish. — 9 years ago

Good food wine. Enjoyed very much with Irish organic salmon. Nice fruit with acidity to balance the oil in the fish. (Enjoyed the rest of the bottle after the meal!) — 10 years ago

Happy Birthday, America! Enjoyed this wine on 4th of July with a dry aged Delmonico grilled with sweet corn. Slightly brown at the edge in the glass, showing its maturity. Still has lots of dark fruit with nicely balanced tannins. Elegant even with a simple grilled meal. — 10 years ago

Nice jammy Zin, above average, some tannins make it pair with food ( we had it with a low-and-slow braised rump roast) as well as a nice quaffer. — 9 years ago
