Still a tannic, cab-heavy Bordeaux just becoming ready to drink. Bright and sweet on the nose. Velvety mouth feel. Dark and dense, with tart acidic bite that breaks slowly with a long finish. Loses its fragrance as it opens. — 9 years ago
Dense, oaky and slightly tannic. A great value for the price point, and drinkable now. — 8 years ago
Slightly tart, rounded and balanced, with cherry, oak, and an assortment of other flavors in equilibrium. — 9 years ago
Fantastic right-bank Bordeaux for the price. With nine years and only 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, it's super-low on the tannins. The Merlot serves up a nice, big bouquet. Fruit, smoke, and other notes in a well-struck balance. — 9 years ago
Tart, tangy Languedoc with more than a hint of dark berry on the nose. Not too tannic, but plenty of structure. Great by itself or with a tender steak. — 9 years ago
Aiyaz Husain
Velvety rich, hints of licorice, leathery. Sweet and alcoholic (14.5%). The caramel softness of the Merlot (84%) displaces any tannic Cabernet, which accounts for only 2% of the blend. Very special, and a great value. Drink now. — 8 years ago
