This 2001 Pommard 1er Cru has an absurdly lovely nose of earth, fruit and vegetables which is reflected in the palate. Sadly there is zero finish, the wine just disappears also no tannins to speak of. Saying that it's a beautiful wine / vintage. — 9 years ago

An incredible nose when first poured, don't let it aerate too long. After a couple of hours it turned to red water. The palate is a burst of red fruit and then waves of tannins that pucker your mouth. Is say that at 9.5 years or so it's too young right now but that's a guess on my part. It is an incredible nose though, if the palate mimics that is a few years time this wine would be incredible. — 9 years ago
An interesting wine that changes dramatically based on temperature and time in the glass. Butter and cream notes when chilled give way to fruit and acid in balance closer to room temp. It's a superbly interesting and enjoyable white burgundy. — 9 years ago
