Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

These are monster wines that demand food. Everything here is turned up to 11 (except the alcohol which is turned up to 16.5!!!) from the viscous texture to the rich pruney fruit. These are beastly wines built to go the distance. Approaching a drinking window on this 2007 but I’ll hold my other one for 5 more years.

An excellent amarone deep dark fruit and raisin but not overdone. Long finish with a bit of chocolate

A lovely evening with a good friend and a good bottle of wine.

Quiet dinner in Clinton Corners with my wife. Delicious.

Chocolatey. Not a bad nose. Front of the palate is the most complex, flavorful taste I've had in a wine.
