Zenaida Cellars
Templeton Gap Zinfandel Blend
Paso Robles, Central Coast, California, USA
Ripe blackberry and plum lead, with brambly raspberry, black pepper, and warm baking spice. A touch of dark chocolate frames a generous, almost jammy fruit core. The palate is lush yet lively, with enough acidity lifting the richness and keeping it focused. Supple tannins and a hint of dried herbs carry through a smooth fruity finish. This has aged well and I think it will continue to improve in the bottle for the next 3-4 years.
The winery was sold in 2022. The new owner seems to focus producing Cab - a pity.

100% estate fruits in Templeton Gap. Loads of black and blue berries. Ripe candied tannins. Wish for a bit more acidity.

Rich aroma of blackberry and plum, with notes of coconut, black tea, and dried herbs. Lush supple palate with fresh raspberry playing nicely with the otherwise delicious ripe fruit core. Mellow tannins.
Lovely Zin from the estate vineyard in Templeton Gap.
