Massive and full of flavors. Again, a bit too ripe and overly extracted. Not sure it’s done purposely to reduce the tannins, as the tannins in this bottle is quite mellow for Petit Sirah.
Paired well with burger.

Feb 27th, 2022The nose is intensely aromatic with blackberry, blueberry, licorice, dark chocolate, thyme, and menthol. A bit smoky as well. Bold flavor as usual for Petite Sirah, but feel too ripe.
I like the 17’ better.

Dec 18th, 2021A lovely 100% Petit Sirah bottling. Blueberry jam, ripe plum, fig, Chinese herbs, black tea, and hint of dark chocolate. Juicy and velvety on the palate with tantalizing acidity. Long spicy and sweet finish.

Apr 13th, 2020Blueberry, oak, vanilla, and rye. The nose reminds me of a good rye whisky. Acidity and tannins are well balanced. Intense on the palate and clean, rather short finish.
