Zenaida Cellars
Estate Fire Sign Cabernet-Syrah Blend
This small winery’s top bottling, Fire Sign is a blend of CS, Syrah, and Zin, all estate grown. And it certainly is the best in terms of quality - though the Grenache bottling remains my favorite.
Cassis, plum, raspberry, vanilla, roasted coffee beans, light menthol and hint of leather. Soft gentle entry and the flavors then expands on the mid palate with additional nuances of herbes de Provence. Round acidity and polished tannins.
The 18’ is sleeker and more luscious than the 16’.

A blend of Paso’s 3 leading red varieties, CS, Syrah and Zin, and it did not disappoint.
Blackberry, red cherry, worn leather, dark chocolate, dark pepper and light herbals on the nose. The full body was rich and fresh, with smooth yet firm tannins.
The best bottle I’ve tasted yet from this winery, and will continue to improve over the next 5 years also.
