Walking Man Brewing
Homo Erectus Imperial IPA
Washington, USA
Visually, this beer is a 10. Beautiful orange color, thick lingering head, lovely lacing. It's cloudy but it seems to be unfiltered and likely also some hop cloud from dry hopping, which is to style. Nose is bread, pine, and citrus. Flavor is a nice balance of caramel/biscuit maltiness and a vibrant citrus with a slight tart/sourness that is interesting. There is a lingering bitterness that I enjoy. Hint of booziness, understandable at 9.0%. Perfect carbonation, medium/thick mouthfeel. Overall a great beer, and I think 9% may be conservative, this beer goes down easy and hits you hard. Must be more like 10-11%.
