You is nominally the second wine from Almaviva - it’s less expensive, made from younger vines on the property 5-20 years old) and picked a bit earlier to preserve acidity. It may be a second wine but it’s delicious - creamy texture with ripe, velvet tannins and enough acidity to balance the lovely fruit- black cherry, cassis, violet (fresh and dried), blackberry, mocha, cedar and tobacco leaf. Long finish and surprisingly accessible at this point in its evolution. I’d order it again in a heartbeat.

Enjoying the 2019 in some newly acquired Glas.Vin tulip stemware. Tastes like a bite into a perfectly ripe plum on a summer day, minus heavy sweetness - fine tannins and a silky finish.

Dec 23rd, 2022After the Condrieu was sadly dispatched down the drain I opted for this and it did not disappoint. It’s a young drinker but so refined and elegant and feminine. A bargain at any price. Cheers!

Delightful dark fruit with an almost floral aroma and a well balanced structure. Excellent pairing for a nice cut of red meat
