Double date night at Mekelburg's - strong enough to stand up to Banh Mi, ph balanced for my acidic palette

I can't recall ever having this varietal before. It smelled promising, like a good Chenin blanc, rich, slightly fungal and with a note of expensive Parisian perfume. And for the first second it tasted like that. Unfortunately, much like a man I once dated- briefly, it was all good looks and charm with heavy promise and then a major disappointment on the finish.

Nice light body and a little tingle on the attach, but the finish is a bit too light for my taste. Orbois is fun! OG Loire valley yo.
