My experience with kombucha beer is not extensive, but this is pretty tasty in a general sense. The mushroomy, aged cheese and calloused foot aromas are familiar as kombucha, but gently delivered here. The palate is frankly sweet but not cloying, with a fair amount ginger--pickled-- pepping things up. Bubbles are light and fine; spiciness lingers. More like a deeply rich pickled ginger soda than beer; 8% abv is imperceptible. In all, pretty good and totally drinkable.
