Inky deep purple in color. Strawberry fruit leather on nose. Raspberry jam in mouth with lingering menthol and blackberry. Not too alcoholic, not too tannic, not too acidic - fruit forward, but could use a bit less oak on the finish .

Nice light red color, more vanilla notes than I expect in a zin, nice spiced fruit flavor, a bit hot on the finish but it is 16%...

As you can see from pic, this is Trader Joe’s “Grower’s Reserve” Zinfandel Paso Robles (one of my fav next to Lodi’s).
Has great length and leg; smooth light oaky, and smoky with hint of dark cherry taste. Love this inexpensive yet quality wine.

I really like this sweeter wine from Stephanie and Josh's wedding. I got more black fruit flavors with vanilla than typical for a zinfandel.
