This is good - just not great for my preferences. I expect/prefer a bit of a spicy date profile for Amarone. After a few hours of slow ox the nose was dry roses and mild spice. On the palate it was more earthy and leathery than spicy and didn’t have the expected slight date/raisin sweetness. The finish was lengthy and leathery.
