Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend
Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, Italy
Corvina Blend
Tomato-Based, Asian Cuisine, Mushrooms, Pork, Fish, Salads & Greens
Top Notes For
Current, blackberry with notes of clove and cinnamon on the nose. Blackberry, blueberry, current finishing with cherry, cocoa and mild oak. Slightly sweet, mildly tannic. It tastes like the roman empire and feels like a quintessential italian wine but it’s simply not nearly dry enough for me.

Aug 17th, 2024Hot on the nose (15% abv) and there is an over bearing odor of old on the verge of rotting fruit.
Terrible example of a DOCG Amarone.
This goes to show that DOCG may gaurantee genuineness but not quality.
Would not buy again at any price.
