Smells like paso. Tastes like cab sav. Actually a great wine. Lots of dark fruit and a soft lingering finish that makes you want another sip. Expecting it to be hot but was quite enjoyable.

Oak and tobacco. Pretty solid, good with smoky or rich food.

Smooth on the tongue. Minimum acidity.

Delightful. Enjoying it with homemade spaghetti and marinara.

A slight disappointment following the Rubus Cabernet. Lighter tannins with shorter finish. Plan to revisit it to see if it "opens up." Revisit January 2, 2016. Hints of leather and licorice. Black cherry. Despite my initial perception of light tannins it held up nicely chilled for 3 days.

Nice and smooth but rich enough to have with Italian or meat. Very smooth for a cab.

Green pepper notes in the bouquet combine with conventional black cherry flavors to make for an interesting and solid inexpensive cab.
