I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of Petite Sirah but a 12 year old from a great producer? This rocks! The tannins have mostly settled down. The fruit is still there, going a little bit more towards the earthy and mineral side. Bold and delicious. I’m glad I waited.

Massive clunky tannins and fruit starting to fade.

Still has a massive tannic structure, but developing nice tertiary character. Not sure the fruit will outlast the tannins, but this should continue to develop well for another decade.

Just getting to a good spot. Oak certainly present but fully integrated. Plummy fruit, smoky, chewy spice. Still with years to go, would love to revisit this wine from uniquely American terroir, an adopted American varietal. Intriguing

Not usually a fan of the big brooding reds, but this is incredibly complex. Nice smokey qualities and beautiful graphite notes. Very well done.

Deep red berries, tannic but also silky on the finish--a great balance. Shades toward the strong earthy and smokey and tobacco-y flavors and aromas for me. Needs breathing.

Wow. Could really take a lot more time! Lots of acid, sadly we finished it before our steaks arrived
