Red violet with brown tinge and translucent red rim. Medium nose of dusty dry tobacco, cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and a hint of vanilla. Light bodied wine on the palate provides a crisp berry acidity with tiny tannins. Leads to a medium dry finish of black pepper and smoke. Fair structure for this lightly tannined zin that drinks like a peppery Pinot. Balance shifted to the nose but still a very good value at $15.50 USD. Recommended.
