Ruby and brownish color. Muted bouquet of mushroom, clove and black cherry. Modest acidity, supple tannins and rounded in mouth suggests the wine is mature but not in decline. Elegant with a lovely, long and firm finish. The wine kept evolving an hour after decanting but then was fully consumed. A beautiful expression of mature Barolo.
