So, who knew Mount Langi Ghiran had a small block in a north-facing vineyard of Sangiovese, lovely cherry and spice aromas and flavors, lovely, pure fruit, great acid and balance, medium-long finish, very nice Sangiovese, went great with our prosciutto-based pizza tonight — not exported, tiny production, I was told, but super pure Sangiovese, and a screaming bargain to boot (at Cellar Door pricing)!!
