Linne Calodo
Problem Child Zinfandel Blend
Bright purple. Highly expressive aromas of mineral-tinged dark berry preserves, incense and candied licorice are complicated by a sexy floral nuance. Smoky and seamless in texture, offering alluringly sweet black and blue fruit, spicecake and floral pastille flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes with outstanding clarity, mounting tannins and floral-dominated tenacity, leaving blue fruit and exotic spice notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

A few fun 4th Friday wines from tonight.
One of the better Paso zin blends I’ve come across. Obviously at such a young age it’s very aromatic showing crunchy cranberries and baked mixed berry pie, dark chocolate, cedar, and scorched earth. The palate reveals red and black licorice, sandalwood, underripe blueberries, and really wears its alcohol well as it’s rich but not a compact fruit bomb. Lifted profile. Delicious.
