Dense purple in color. Blackberry, orange fig herb and soda water in nose. Blackberry and skin tannins in mouth. Tasty, not syrupy or thick, but can use another 3-5 years of aging.

Very approachable with a solid decant. Ripe core of dark fruit, nice structure and solid acidity. This is quite tasty.

Not sure why this vintage has received only fair reviews on CellarTracker, but this is a solid bottle of Zinfandel showing rich purple and black fruits, some mild spice and pepper notes, and enough complexity to hold interest. Air seems to help it unfurl a bit. There’s a little alcoholic warmth in the finish, but this is not a jammy zin by any means. The ‘12 was better, but this is quite enjoyable and I’m happy to have another in the cellar.

Elegant, restrained. Cranberry (red fruit and acidity). But balanced with some darker fruit.

Great nose, followed by juicy ripe fruit with a significant savoriness on the back end. A very complex and intriguing wine.
