My second wine from this region. It was very nutty almost like a Madeira. There was a significant musk that did blow off over time. Cigar box and tobacco were out in full force.

Medium bodied. Ever present oak and wood on the palate that's touched up by dark, leafy greens and bramble. Soft in the mouth.
Some air unlocks some of the hidden tannins and some more fruit comes through.

Dark in color, low acidity, bold but not overwhelming, fruit forward, blackberry, dark cherry, raspberry, oaky, light tannins, nice pepper finish.

2009, Liberalia Tres, Toro, Tinto de Toro Tempranillo. Medium weight Tempranillo. Lots of ripe black fruit, some oak and a little spice. Not bad for an entry level Toro.

Not bad! Lots of blackberry flavor, some dry woodiness and brambliness, a little bit of spice. Still, a bit thin and dry and fades quickly.

Fruit forward with an oak finish. A bit sweet, but still nice complexity

Wow dark color. Thought there would be more tannins, but an easy drinker. Had it with pasta.
