Black fruit nose and accents of savory herbs. Medium-weight mouth offers gripping yet fine tannins and a richness of black cherry and dark chocolate.

Crystal clear garnet, showing a little age around the edges. A nice nose lifts out of the glass: raspberry jam, leather, and some savory herbs. Full oily body, not much acid--hits me a little flabby and sweet. Strawberry jam blooms on the palate, and reserved but bitey tannins make their presence felt. Stewed fruit continues to linger, along with a grungy dryness. Not super impressed.

70% syrah, 20% grenache, 10% carignan. Vielles vignes... Du costaud!

Fruity on the nose, light enough to be a good every day wine...
