Roughly one year since last tasting. White pepper, herb and veg notes in nose. Blackberry, cherry and cassis notes in mouth, later, barrel smoke, good tannin structure, slight bitterness and black pepper in finish with skin astringency on top of mouth. Good depth of flavor, shows strengths of WA state cab franc. Well made, excellent wine. Drinking well now but ageworthy

Nov 4th, 2017Deep purple red in color. Cherry, berry, black pepper, green vegetable and herb notes in nose. Cherry, black currant and black pepper in mouth. Fruit forward, with lots of fine grain seed tannins, driving the bitterness and black pepper on finish. 88% cab franc shines through here
