Dark purple with very faint bricking on the edge. Nose is very generous, deep, black fruited supported by oak. Reminds me of Rocca di Frassinello Le Sughere. Color + nose suggest extracted and bold wine but palate is suprisignly medium bodied with firm structure and nice fruit acid balance. One could take this is a top class Cru Bourgeois. Only slightly too prominent tannins distract on a othervice highly enjoyable taste. This needs food and is still very primary at age 7. I take this will be at it's best around 3-5 years from now. Great wine!
