3 Cru Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

I’ve no idea why the vineyard did not have this wine rated. This is one of the best Amarone’s I have had. I’d even push 9.4. Grab the 2014 while you can. It’s just pleasant...a really good sipper. Just enough tannins to keep you wanting more without drying out your mouth and letting the food gain the stage. Finishes extremely well.

very fragrant on the nose, almost like a pinot

Too thin for an Amarone. Pass.

Jam and cherries with long lingering finish . Great match with baked pork chops with a sweet Asian glaze and roasted cauliflower. Will enjoy every sip !

Tastes a bit young, oddly. Food wine for sure.
