Dark, inky in color with an intense brooding nose of dense tar, black olive, and a surprising blast of oyster and rock pools. An exceptionally fresh bottle for a 40 year old wine. With time in glass more violets and blue fruit. On the palate it’s pure and intense. Rich growling fruit with leather and tobacco. A bit feral, but fun. This is great, with decades ahead. Wow

Aug 10th, 2018Dark and growly. Leather but a pretty rose note. A bit of stink, and tarry leather. Time in glass there’s a lifted pettiness. Very good fruit, really pure. Punchy but really clear and delicious. Yum
