Fruit a little under ripe - red and black berry fruits - mild intensity. Improved in flavour after warming up. Marzipan and almond strangely on the palate. A touch of Capsicum/Red pepper as well - also a touch of astringency. Expected better considering that the Yarra Valley is a great terroir for Cabernet based Cuvées. 60% Cabernet 40% Merlot. Had another bottle 23 weeks later on 22nd December 2021. A very left bank Bordeaux nose cedar cassis and capsicum. Barb got almond and marzipan again as per last note. Proves yet again that the Yarra Valley is great for Cabernet based wines.
