Quite reduced at first, with lots of struck match and brimstone funk, but with some air this blossomed into a crunchy lean boysenberry and sour cherry medley mixed with chopped herbs and deeply stony minerality. Great acidity. Taste the volcano mateys! From the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands of Spain, this mostly Listan Prieto (aka Mission or Pais) with a little of Tintillo, red wine is light on the palate and quite refreshing. Sulfur is added only at bottling, otherwise this juice is simply put into old barrels to do its thing.

Peppery nose, juicy and red-fruited on the palate, with cranberry and some hints of butterscotch. A bit reductive, light bodied but energetic and filled with salt and minerals. Delicious.

Bright, funky, cranberry and woody herbs, a touch of Canary Isl salinity. 👌🏾

Nose of cranberry, raspberry, slightly peppery smoke and a hint of Halloween mask latex over a pale red peach, and slightly rusty color and a surprisingly light body. For a 6 year old wine the acidity is still sharp, tart and gently tannic, with a surprising freshness in ripe red fruits, deep rose florals and gentle tannins. As the wine opens, the nose and palate blossomed, into a bouquet of rose, wet dark stone, a bit of dried cactus bramble, a hint of mushroom and crushed ripe red fruit. Oof, delicious.

Best island red I ever had. Great balance with nice fruit balancing the minerality.

Match box, mineral, salinity and some red berries. Light, very dry. Very evident volcano island-style

Similar to a gamay. Light red with red fruit and pepper on the nose. Acidic with notes if plum and cranberry
