Domaine du Fief Noir
Cocagne Grolleau
Apparently, Robert Parker recommended phasing out the Grolleau grape. This would have been a loss. Mild barnyard and ripe cherry aroma. Pleasant taste of tart red berries. Not spectacular or complex but smooth and drinkable. Pretty label.

This wine was dark and funky with some fresh barnyard aromas and flavors; in spite of its darkness, though, it was still rather light on its feet. Some earth and black cherry detected also with some bits of dried leaves on the finish. 100% Grolleau. 11/10/22.
