Apparently, Robert Parker recommended phasing out the Grolleau grape. This would have been a loss. Mild barnyard and ripe cherry aroma. Pleasant taste of tart red berries. Not spectacular or complex but smooth and drinkable. Pretty label.

This was my first go-go with grolleau. This wine was dark and funky with some fresh barnyard aromas and flavors; in spite of its darkness, though, it was still rather light on its feet. Some earth and black cherry detected also with some bits of dried leaves on the finish. 100% Grolleau. 11/10/22.
