Upon opening, pretty flabby and tired. Give it an hour or so, and it really starts to open up and show it’s complexity. Though only 30% nielluccio, aromas here are certainly in the Sangiovese family. Cherry, iron, dusty earth, herbs. It still has great concentration and length. Fruit is lively and bright. Enjoyed with Cubano sandwiches on homemade sourdough.

A Kermit Lynch import, Faustine is a biodynamically-farmed Corsian blend of 70% Sciaccarellu and 30% Niellucciu. Shimmering translucent garnet, it's lighter in hue and body than Pinot Noir with refined, perfumy aromas of decaying rose petal, white hand soap, forest floor, dried mint, and a hint of spice. In the mouth, it's taught, red-fruited and lean. The tannins are moderate and very fine, intertwining coursing acidity, flavors of cranberry and rose hips, and a decidedly herbal flourish on the finish. 14.0% ABV

Wow! Such a cool wine. Ruby in color, remarkably complex nose of dried roses, pepper, cranberries, an edge of balsamic, and herbs. The palate follows nose, except that it's not over ripe like the balsamic notes would suggest. The wine displays bright red raspberry and cranberry fruit, mouth quenching acidity, and fine textured tannins.

Nose filled with tart red fruit, especially black cherry, fresh herbs, and wet stones. Sleek and polished in the mouth. Restrained and elegant. Tannins are both light and bright. Hides its 14% abv very well. One tasty treat.

Stemmy and herbaceous in a very good way. Medium ruby color, very forward and fruity nose. Vibrant and elegant with some fruit sweetness on the palate. Lovely wine begs for a second glass

High toned cranberry with a distinct salinity. Darker on the palate with nice alpine-tasting notes.
