La Goutte d'Or Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Tasting again, 1.5 years later. Has settled in. Nice rich/austere tension.

2014.

Richly styled showing lemon, stone fruits, mineral, white flower with racy acids. My 1st time trying this producer.

This dry wine has subtle tropical fruit with notes of straw and lemon rind with nice acidity.

Petits charrons with chapon and orange sauce, nice pairing.

Finally cracked open this beauty (a gift from our wedding 2008). Forgive the lack of tasting notes but this was a truly great wine. Deep color, full-bodied, had aged beautifully. Everything I love in a French white.
