The Comet Alexander Valley Zinfandel Blend

Blend of 65% Zin, 25% Petite Sirah and 10% Carignane with a blackberry, plum, black currant, leather,savory spice, chocolate character that's very fresh with firm well integrated tannins and a very giving finish. Nice hint of floral aromatics on the nose too! Wonderful!

Zin, PS and Carignan. Old vine, small yield hill fruit. Carignan fruit is 140 years old.

Nice acidity. Moderate tannin. Still young. Will surely age gracefully over the next few decades.

Kind of a perfect red wine in the easy drinking but seriously put together way.

First vintage of this wine, 80% Zinfandel 20% Petite Sirah from Todd Borthers Ranch. Full bodied and robust, especially coming from Dashe. Mocha, blackberries, vanilla, bramble and spice. Needs a fatty ribeye if you ask me!

A full-bodied blend of old-vine Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and carignan. Lots of black berries, tobacco, leather, and grippy tannins. Such a baby, this needs lots of air or 5-10 years in the cellar.

Slightly bitter but not unpleasant. Beautiful blend. Looking forward to tasting it after it fully opens! Again probably opened this only a few years too early 🍷

You need to open this up and let it breathe for a good amount of time. You will be rewarded with a superb glass of wine. Aromas of ripe fruit and spice greet you. Rich fruits, cassis and chocolate complement the tannins and linger making this a super pleasure to drink.
