Corte Scaletta
Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend
First time trying this producer and it's pretty impressive. So much concentration, but that's expected - dried stawberries, plum, spices (lots of rosemary), balsamic notes, chocolate, toasted nuts. Palate-staining finish. Fine tannins and very decent acidity. The nose is similarly rich with lots of flower power, discrete vanilla, and an intriguing straw-like character. Powerful and balanced, but at this abv, I can take no more than a glass. Excellent value for money according to MH.

Oct 23rd, 201917.5 maybe my best Amarone. Deep, full, long, soft but enough acidity. Had half the bottle 2 weeks ago, vacuumed, went abroad, back today and it has held up brilliantly. Note: 16%
