Not as bold and flavorful as other Amarone's I've had. But still smooth on the palate with some earthy tones, chalk, blackberry and what I think is a hint of licorice. It's not the best Amarone I've had, but it is most certainly very enjoyable with a meal. Give it a try if the price is reasonable and give it 15-20 minutes to open up. I was worries on the initial tasting, but it came around nicely. Enjoy!!
