Great wine for the price. Medium body, vanilla, spice, ripe cherry, beautiful smooth finish. Has many of the notes I enjoy in Rioja wines. A big negative is its lack of acidity. As a result it does not pair well with tomato based Italian dishes. Unlike typical Italian wines its modern styling means that it drinks well without food.
