Everything you'd want from Bordeaux and wonderful development in the glass. Cigar box, graphite and a great mix of red berry fruit, forest floor, truffle and a touch of horseradish, geraniums. Palate has well rounded and quite plush tannin, beautifully weighted mid palate with ripe red berry finish with a nice firmness to it. Perfect with roast beef and a reminder lesser AOC's in lesser vintages can still smash it.

2006. Pitch black, purple on the rim. Predominantly cassis on the nose. Very tannic and grave on the palate. Opened up with air after two or three hours. Not an easy one, but very enjoyable if given the space.
