Violets, slightly gamey, black fruit nose. Big bold tannins and a rich mouthfeel that hints at the oak. Blackberry, violet, floral finish on the front but a little vanilla as the fruit fades.

Needs to breathe quite a bit before the more subtle notes come out. Red currant, charcoal, bitter cherry. Comes on a little acidic, finishes off smoother. Probably even better in a couple of years.

Enjoyable, very dry. Far far better with food. Lost of spice which is subdued by beef!
