This wine was reviewed as being austere and tannic. There is definitely acidity to spare, but the tannins seemed pretty soft to me (this one was aerated and then spent 1+ hours in the decanter, so that might have done the trick).
Not as full-bodied as I was hoping, but brighter and fruitier than I expected after several years in the bottle. Lots of minerals on the nose and a bit of ash on the finish.
Held up to a grilled steak. Crisp acidity made it a good match for roasted tomatoes, too.
