This was a bit of a stunner. Complete ringer for Bordeaux but a fraction of the price. Need to get more and see how they develop.

Wine tasting bottle 3: Calluna Vineyards Cuvée Chalk Hill AVA 2016. Made up of 49% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot & 7% Malbec, this Bordeaux style wine is packed with lush black fruits, cassis, tobacco & earth. A nice tannic structure with a long smooth finish. Definitely got better after an hour. Cheers🍷

Virtual tasting. Nose of cocoa powder, cherry cordial and evergreen. Merlot is forward here with some blue fruit, smoked meats and earthiness. Finish has some bell pepper and chocolate notes with some real tannic structure.
