2012 Vintage. 13.8% Alcohol. 35% Tempranillo, 25% Petite Verdot, 23% Syrah, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 24 months in French Oak. Unusual blend that was smoothing out the tannins with age. Plenty of oak. Bold blend experimentation. None of the varietals dominated in taste. Not like their big syrahs which we love, but a fun ride in the unusual.

Jul 19th, 2020Tasted blind. Threw everyone for a loop (Amarone? Cali Syrah?). But so much polish and depth that it even got WOTN votes from professed Bdx and Burg fans. Personally I feel that Booker’s pure varietal Tempranillo is even better.
