Our first slate soil based #chenin of the tasting showed the difference from limestone as this was round and thicker on the palate. Malo in barrel is typical from western Anjou-Saumur, whereas blocked or no Malo and steel fermentation and aging are typical in eastern Anjou-Saumur. Minerality peeks out from the more tropical ripe yellow fruits.
