Arianna comes from the Spoto family out of Cali (this is their daughter).

I last had the 2018 vintage of this which was more tropical SauvBlanc in profile than the 2020. What made this unique for me is that the aromatics reminded me of a slightly hoppy summer Hefeweizen…coriander, orange peel and a weedy/herbal component. On the palate, it has a nice richness. Small tropical flair (more so on day one with sugar frosted guava), but mainly lemon-lime candy with a finish that trends more stony/mineral with a lingering note of lemon oil and lemongrass. This wine is best suited with food, especially Thai food.
