Very astringent and tannic. Savory, worcestershire, clove, molasses, tar, burnt rubber. Much more palatable paired with high-fat food.

Rich cherry fruit and Victoria plum flavours, a velvety texture and the slightest hint of bitter almonds. Aldi €9.99 Not bad for the price.

Probably my favourite Aldi red. They have a lovely Amarone as does Lidl (Lidl have a classico as well) but this is fresher and easier to drink. I enjoy Amarone but find it takes me a while to finish as it's so powerful (in a good way, but not for everyday).
